Lyon

A fascinating history, renowned gastronomy and majestic shores

At the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers, Lyon is a UNESCO World Heritage City where history unfolds at every turn. First established in antiquity as the political, religious and administrative crossroads of the Gallic provinces, it served as the central hub of the massive Roman road network. Nowadays, its rich heritage never ceases to charm, from the historic alleyways in the old town to the colourful facades of the Croix-Rousse. Renowned as the culinary capital of the world, Lyon pairs the culinary pleasures of its famous bouchons with a thriving museum scene and the tranquility of its vast green spaces.

Starting June 8, 2027, Air Transat will operate the route to Lyon (LYS) once a week, on Tuesdays, through October 26. Tickets will go on sale shortly.
