Planning your trip
When booking your trip, please inform your airline about any help you’ll need during your flight, when moving through the terminal or with carrying special equipment.
Getting around
Adapted transportation
Need help getting to or from the airport? Book a paratransit service to make things easier.
Assistance service
We offer an accessible transportation for persons with disabilities (ATPDR) service upon request, in collaboration with the airline companies.
When booking, you’ll receive all the information needed to prepare for your time at the airport. If you’d like assistance throughout your journey, please also inform your airline.
The assistance service includes
On departure
Assistance at the curbside area, i.e. the designated spot for picking up or dropping off passengers with a disability. It’s located near the sliding doors at the centre of the terminal.
Assistance with moving you and your luggage from the drop-off area to the check-in counters.
The airline is responsible for providing assistance for the remaining steps of the journey.
On arrival
The airline is responsible for providing assistance upon arrival until the meeting point for the assistance service, i.e. the designated area inside the terminal opposite the oversized baggage drop-off.
Assistance for you and your luggage from the meeting point for the assistance service to the drop-off area or other means of transportation.
Parking
The airport parking lot has about 20 spaces reserved for people with accessible parking permits. These spaces are located near the access ramps, elevators and main entrances of the terminal and airport buildings.
A heated walkway connects level 2 of the Proxi parking lot to the terminal.
The clearance height is 2.3 m on the ground floor and 2.1 m on the upper levels.
Car rental
Vehicle rental companies offer a limited number of vehicles with hand controls.
We advise that you reserve your car at least 72 hours in advance.
Other means of transportation
YQB is served by public transit. Buses run to and from downtown and many other places in Québec City.
