• Level 3 Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) (optimization)

• 50% of the light vehicle fleet is electric

• Installation of electric charging stations for our partners

• Supporting our partners in their decarbonization efforts

• Launching a food waste diversion pilot project

• Recycling program for residual hazardous and non-hazardous matter

• Managing two bee hotels and a hive to promote biodiversity on site

We have an environmental management system (EMS) based on ISO 14001 that regulates our practices and allows us to ensure we’re adhering to standards, protecting the environment and continously improving what we do. When our EMS was established, an activity analysis was conducted in order to target the most significant environmental aspects.

Environmental initiatives tied to our EMS

• Implementing 20+ measures, particularly operations procedures and work directives

• Training available to all employees on the importance of sustainable development

• A monitoring program for the most significant environmental aspects (surface water, groundwater, drinking water, soil, air, energy, residual matter, residual hazardous matter, etc.)

There’s also continous regulatory monitoring, allowing YQB to stay current on new environmental protection requirements. System audits and environmental compliance checks are also conducted regularly.
